Rule :
कुछ noun singular होते हैं और इनका प्रयोग हमेशा singular की तरह किया जाता है|
Advice , information , scenery , machinery (कल पुर्जे) , stationery (लेखन सामग्री) ,luggage or baggage (सामान) , crockery (प्लेटतश्तरी) , dust , dirt (गंदगी) , music , espionage (गुप्त सूचनाएं) , knowledge , poetry , furniture , money , traffic , work , mischief (शरारत) , bread , filth (गंदगी) , equipment etc.
● उपरोक्त शब्दों के पहले a/an का प्रयोग करके singular नहीं बनाया जाता है|
● इनमें s/ es लगाकर plural नहीं बनाया जाता है|
● इनके के साथ singular verb का प्रयोग होता है|
उपयुक्त nouns को singular. या Plural बनाने के लिए a kind of / type of / sort of / piece of या kinds of / types of / pieces of etc. का प्रयोग किया जाता है|
Note - उपरोक्त शब्दों के पहले संख्यावाचक (number denoted- many , few , several) शब्दों का use नहीं किया जाता है|
■ Example :
There is heavy traffics on the road.
Correct Sent- There is heavy traffic on the road.
Reason - Traffic s/es लगाकर plural नहीं बनाया जाता है|
