  (c)-As--- (a).    +Clause

           (b).     +Prepositional clause

Example-
    (1) He looks like Mohan.
    (2) he ran like the wind.
    (3) he bought some fruits like banana,apple,grapes etc.
    (4) In 1999,as in 1988, India fought a battle with its neighbouring country.

 (d) Alike- like each other ( एक दूसरे के समान)

Alike एक adjective है और इसका प्रयोग सामान्यतया noun के बिना किया जाता है अर्थात इसके बाद noun नहीं लगाते हैं|

Example-
The two friends are ______  in behaviour but in personality./no error

(a) like.  (b) as.  © alike✓       (d)then

Example- Salman is alike Javed but works more efficiently./no error

Correct sent- Salman is like Javed but works more efficiently./no error

Reason- like के बाद noun आता  हैं|
