RULE- कुछ noun form में plural होते हैं परंतु इनका प्रयोग हमेशा singular की तरह किया जाता है|
● news , gallous (फांसी पर चढ़ाए जाने वाला व्यक्ति) , summons , mathematics ,
economics , physics , politics , ethics (नीतिशास्त्र) , gymnastics , athletics etc.
● name of countries / institution-
Athens , wales , the united states , the united nations.
● name of diseases- measles (खसरा) , mumps (गलसुआ) , rickets (सूखा रोग) , etc
Note -
■ उपरोक्त शब्दों में s/es लगाकर singular , plural नहीं बनाई जाती है|
■ इनके साथ singular verb का प्रयोग होता है|
■ Example :
no / news / are / good today / no error.
Correct Sent- no / news / is / good today
Reason - news हमेशा plural forms में लिखते हैं| इनके साथ singular verb का प्रयोग होता है|
