RULE- कुछ words का singular और plural में अर्थ अलग-अलग होता है |

Custom (प्रथा)        customs(सीमा शुल्क)

Particular(विशेष)    particulars(विवरण)

Abuse (गाली)     Abuses(कुर्तियां, बुरी प्रथा)

Premise(प्रस्तावना)    premises(परिषद)

Order(आदेश,क्रम)   
                :     orders(आधिकारिक  आदेश)

Alphabet(भाषा)   :  Alphabets(भाषाएं)

 Work(काम) :  Works(साहित्यिक    रचनाएं)

Note - work , जब verb का use कार्य के अर्थ में होता है तो इसका plural नहीं बनाया जाता है|

Example :
■  I have some Works to do with in the allotted time no error

Correct Sent- I have some Work to do with in the allotted time

Reason - work का अर्थ कार्य के रूप में हुआ है इसीलिए work के साथ S नहीं लगेगा|

Example :
■ The work of Shakespeare are more famous than any other English dramatist’s / no error

Correct Sent- The works of Shakespeare are more famous than any other English dramatist’s

Reason - यहां work साहित्य के रूप में आया है इसलिए S लगेगा

Example
■  I have a work to do . / no error

Correct Sent-  I have work to do

Reason -  work , UNCOUNTABLE NOUN है इसलिए A नहीं लगेगा|
