Chandni

There was a man named Abbu Khan who had many goats as pets with him. He loves his goats very much and keeps funny names. Everyday he takes them out for grazing during the day and talks to every goat as his  own children; at night he would bring them back to his little hut and put a string round the neck of each goat.

अब्बू खान नाम का एक आदमी था जिसके पास पालतू जानवर के रूप में कई बकरियाँ थीं। वह अपनी बकरियों से बहुत प्यार करता है और मजाकिया नाम रखता है। वह दिन में प्रतिदिन उन्हें चराने के लिए बाहर ले जाता है और प्रत्येक बकरी से अपने बच्चों की तरह बात करता है; रात को वह उन्हें वापस अपनी छोटी कुटिया में ले आता और एक-एक बकरे के गले में एक डोरी बाँधता।

 Every night one goat ran away because goats don't like to be tied and end up losing their lives to an old wolf who lived on a mountain. One day all the goats were gone and Abbu Khan became very sad and he decided not to keep any pet but his loneliness forced to buy a single young goat. 

हर रात एक बकरी भाग जाती थी क्योंकि बकरियों को बांधना पसंद नहीं था और अंत में एक पहाड़ पर रहने वाले एक बूढ़े भेड़िये के हाथों अपनी जान गंवानी पड़ती थी। एक दिन सभी बकरियां चली गईं और अब्बू खान बहुत दुखी हो गया और उसने कोई पालतू जानवर नहीं रखने का फैसला किया लेकिन उसके अकेलेपन ने एक भी बकरी खरीदने को मजबूर कर दिया।

The Goat was quite young, beautiful and white as snow. Abbu kept her name chandani, she was also friendly and followed abbu. They both had a wonderful time and this time Abbu believed she wouldn't run away to hills but as time passed the shine of hills during daylight lured her and she started behaving badly with Abbu Khan and didn't eat properly.

बकरी काफी युवा, सुंदर और बर्फ की तरह सफेद थी। अब्बू ने अपना नाम चांदनी रखा, वह मिलनसार भी थी और अब्बू का अनुसरण करती थी। उन दोनों के पास बहुत अच्छा समय था और इस बार अब्बू को विश्वास था कि वह पहाड़ियों पर नहीं भागेगी, लेकिन जैसे-जैसे समय बीतता गया, दिन के उजाले में पहाड़ियों की चमक ने उसे आकर्षित किया और उसने अब्बू खान के साथ बुरा व्यवहार करना शुरू कर दिया और ठीक से खाना नहीं खाया।

So one day Abbu asked what happened to you and she told Abbu Khan she wanted to go to the hills. This made Abbu Khan very sad despite the best food and love she stills wanted to leave and he told her his self made story of her sister who was killed by the wolf lived on the hills.

तो एक दिन अब्बू ने पूछा कि तुम्हें क्या हुआ है और उसने अब्बू खान से कहा कि वह पहाड़ियों पर जाना चाहती है। इसने अब्बू खान को सबसे अच्छे भोजन और प्यार के बावजूद बहुत दुखी किया, जिसे वह अभी भी छोड़ना चाहती थी और उसने उसे अपनी बहन की स्व-निर्मित कहानी सुनाई, जिसे भेड़िये द्वारा मार दिया गया था, जो पहाड़ियों पर रहती थी।

But she didn't listen to him. Abbu Khan became very angry and locked her in a small hut as a punishment but Chandni ran away from the small hut to the hills. She was very happy, playing in long grass, and met with some wild goats who asked her to join the group but she refused. As day passed, night was growing and it was very silent over there but the sound of a wolf was coming, she thought to run away to save his life, then she decided to stay, fight and get dead beside living a jail life.

लेकिन उसने उसकी एक नहीं सुनी। अब्बू खान बहुत क्रोधित हो गया और उसे एक छोटे से लेकिन सजा के रूप में बंद कर दिया लेकिन चांदनी छोटी सी झोपड़ी से दूर पहाड़ियों की ओर भाग गई। वह बहुत खुश थी, लंबी घास में खेल रही थी, और कुछ जंगली बकरियों से मिली, जिन्होंने उसे समूह में शामिल होने के लिए कहा, लेकिन उसने मना कर दिया। जैसे-जैसे दिन बीत रहा था, रात बढ़ती जा रही थी और वहाँ बहुत सन्नाटा था लेकिन एक भेड़िये की आवाज़ आ रही थी, उसने अपनी जान बचाने के लिए दूर भागने की सोची, फिर उसने जेल में रहने के अलावा रहने, लड़ने और मरने का फैसला किया।

Wolf was big, strong and ferocious while Chandni was healthy but small and ready to fight with the wolf. Fight continued the whole night. Chandani was fully covered in blood and the wolf also got sleepy and tired but at last the wolf ate her and a wise bird said Chandni was the winner because despite knowing the result, she didn't give up and fought for her life and freedom.

भेड़िया बड़ा, मजबूत और क्रूर था जबकि चांदनी स्वस्थ लेकिन छोटी थी और भेड़िये से लड़ने के लिए तैयार थी। रात भर लड़ाई चलती रही। चांदनी पूरी तरह से खून से लथपथ थी और भेड़िया भी सो गया और थक गया लेकिन आखिर में भेड़िये ने उसे खा लिया और एक बुद्धिमान पक्षी ने कहा कि चांदनी विजेता थी क्योंकि परिणाम जानने के बावजूद, उसने हार नहीं मानी और अपने जीवन और स्वतंत्रता के लिए संघर्ष किया।
